Jessica Sinclair is the Director of Education and Research Outcomes at Avant Pharmacy and Wellness (formerly known as Rx Clinic Pharmacy). Through her role, she guides pharmacist team members through collaborative clinical services to ensure confidence, alignment with rules and regulations, and the highest level of patient care. She serves as the Continuing Pharmacy Education Administrator of the Avant Institute and is dedicated to the creation of meaningful and innovative education programs that push the profession of pharmacy forward.
She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Purdue University in 2017 and then completed her PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Residency with UNC and Rx Clinic Pharmacy between 2017-2018. During her residency, she built a pharmacist-led clinical service program with Metrolina Internal Medicine, focusing on the annual wellness visit, chronic care management, and diabetes management. She served as Secretary-Elect for the New Practitioner Network of the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists and has presented at pharmacy conferences, such as the American Pharmacists Association Annual Meeting.
She is highly involved in precepting and serves as the rotation coordinator for Avant Pharmacy and Wellness. She precepts pharmacy students from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and serves as a member of the UNC preceptor focus group. She is passionate about educating students, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers on the benefits of pharmacist-provider collaboration.
