Amina Abubakar, PharmD, AAHIVP
CEO of Avant Pharmacy & Wellness Center | President of the Avant Institute
Amina Abubakar graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy University of the Sciences in 2005. She is the owner and manager of Avant Pharmacy & Wellness, formerly known as Rx Clinic Pharmacy in Charlotte, NC, and the President of the Avant Institute.
She is an internationally recognized award-winning clinical pharmacist, Certified HIV Specialty Pharmacist, a preceptor to UNC Chapel Hill residents and students from several schools of pharmacy. Amina was bestowed the honor by the National Community Pharmacists Association as 2020’s Independent Pharmacist of the Year and also

desire to help others advance the pharmacy profession inspired her to found the Avant Institute to offer training to pharmacies across the country on the practical application of clinical pharmacy services through developing sustainable physician collaborations.
Olivia Bentley, PharmD, CFts, AAHIVP
Executive Director of Amity Medical Group
Olivia Bentley received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah in 2012 and completed a PGY1 Community Residency Program at the University of Georgia with Village Drug Shop in Athens, GA in 2013. She was the Director of Collaborative Care Services at Rx Clinic
Today, Dr. Bentley is the Executive Director/CEO of Amity Medical Group, medical practice group in Charlotte, NC. She leads a team of physicians, PAs,
Pharmacy, now known as Avant Pharmacy and Wellness, where she co-developed and implemented community-based beyond dispensing clinical services such as an AADE accredited Diabetes Self-Management Education program, pharmacogenetic testing program, insulin pump training, and specialty
consultations. Through physician collaboration, she grew a team of clinical community pharmacists in providing Medicare annual wellness visits, chronic
care management, remote physiological monitoring, transitions of care management services and much more. Today, the pharmacy team has 20 pharmacists providing services beyond dispensing.
Today, Dr. Bentley is the Executive Director/CEO of Amity Medical Group, medical practice group in Charlotte, NC. She leads a team of physicians, PAs,
NPs and Clinical Pharmacist Practitioners providing primary care and specialty care services. Amity Medical Group collaborates with Avant Pharmacy and
Wellness, an independent community pharmacy, to provide pharmacist-led clinical services in a sustainable business model and grassroots movement to standardize the collaborative relationship between medical providers and pharmacists in team-based care.
Saswat Kabisatpathy, PharmD, MS, BCMTMS
Director of Strategy at Avant Pharmacy & Wellness Center
Dr. Saswat Kabisatpathy serves as the Chief Strategic Officer for Avant Pharmacy and Wellness Center and the Avant Institute. Prior to his new role, he served as the Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager for Walmart Health & Wellness and was responsible for the integration of clinical services in 14 Pharmacy locations in Charlotte, NC and the surrounding areas.
He is a native of South Carolina and completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2004. He continued on at USC and also earned an MS in Chemistry in 2008. After exposure to research and academia in previous opportunities, he was accepted into the Medical University of South Carolina where he completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2014.
Dr. Kabisatpathy has been an active member of the pharmacy community, having served in numerous pharmacy organizations and receiving various awards and recognitions. In 2015, Dr. Swat was named by Pharmacy Times and Next Generation Pharmacists as a finalist for the Future Pharmacist of the Year award. Recently, he was elected to the Executive Board of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc., one of the US's oldest pharmacy organizations.
