Frequently asked questions
What is the model of the ALIE training?
You're not signing up for 3-days of lecture and theory. Throughout the ALIE, you will be immersed in real-life practical cases and engaged in conversations with our innovations team. These experiences are dispersed throughout the 3-days to ensure that you're comfortable using the new tools from your toolbox, and on day 3, we'll visit our clinic so you can visualize the model and meet with a practice manager and medical biller.
Is the pre-work required?
Yes, to benefit the most from the training we require the pre-work to be completed. We provide the didactic material as pre-work so we can focus our time during the 3-day training on skills and practical application for implementation. We have seen great success with the pre-work and participants report feeling much more prepared to implement. This being said, participants who do not complete the pre-work will likely not be prepared for the ALIE material so it is in your best interest, as well as the interest of other participants, if you complete this by the deadline.
What support is provided after the training?
We have built in follow-up after the live training to evaluate your progress on your individualized action plan. This includes two check-ins to support you through your journey. As an ALIE graduate, you also have access to discounts on additional courses and consultations as well as access to our library of additional recorded material. We encourage our participants to stay connected and keep each other up-to-date on progress. We have had over 200 pharmacists from across the country complete our ALIE training and we have seen success in a variety of settings. We invite all of our previous ALIE graduates to stay engaged on our social media platforms as well as through our community board on the website.
Why can't I see all the content yet?
The content is set to drip-feed based on the day of the training. For example, content relevant to the beginning of the training will release a day before the first live session so you can focus on the handouts and resources for that day's session. We provide a lot of supporting information and resources on the course and set the release in this way as to not overwhelm our learners.
How is this training different from programs that you offer in collaboration with other organizations?
We offer training programs with many organizations but no training is as in-depth and comprehensive as our ALIE. This ALIE course focuses on the collaborative clinical services and everything that is required to get started. Some of our participants have referred to this training as a turn-key course because we talk through all the details of the WHY, HOW, and WHAT of clinical services. It is important to understand the codes and requirements for those codes, but it is more important to understand the language and background behind sharing the value of pharmacist-led clinical services. Our team has been offering collaborative clinical services since 2014 and we infuse our years of experience into this comprehensive training. There really is nothing quite like this training and this is one reason why our instructor team is so passionate about sharing our stories. Many of our other programs are meant to be exploratory courses where we share the many pathways that pharmacists can pursue for clinical services in both the pharmacist-billed and provider-billed settings.
What services do you cover during the training?
We focus on Medicare services as they do not differ from one state to another. While there are opportunities for pharmacists to pursue clinical services beyond Medicare, these opportunities vary from state to state. To offer a comprehensive training experience that is applicable to all states, we hone in on opportunities available through Medicare. These services include: Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs), Chronic Care Management (CCM), Remote Physiologic Monitoring (RPM), Behavioral Health Integration (BHI), Principal Care Management (PCM), and Transitional Care Management (TCM).
Is this training right for me?
If you're a hands-on learner with a collaborator in mind, this is the right fit for you! The ALIE was designed for pharmacists seeking to expand upon their local provider relationships to offer collaborative clinical services. We have had community pharmacists, ambulatory care pharmacists, consultant pharmacists, and more attend our training! We recommend the ALIE for pharmacists who have a collaborator in mind or who have already secured a contract to get started. While there are opportunities to find a provider following the training, you'll be most successful if you've identified potential provider collaborators in your area. This live training is designed for those who are ready to get kickstart their collaborative clinical service journey. If you're still exploring collaborative clinical services to see if they're the right fit for you, consider one of our Master Classes and explore our free resources.
